“Our mission is to be good stewards to the environment while making the best bee & honey products we can. We are passionate about making natural honey and being able to share that with people. We want to make sure part of our hives make it into every product we produce.”
The logo, like the Wingfield mission, is all about nature and stewardship. The illustrative logo is a harmony of local wildflowers: sweet yellow clover, California poppies, and almond flowers. Bold and textured serif type paired with and elegant script balances the whimsical illustration with a sense of establishment and elegance.
Color gives life to the line work with bright poppy and clover colors. Leaf work in gold nods to the established and traditional look. Negative space in the color allows the cream paper color to peek through areas and act as an additional color. Giving the illustration depth and a hand-illustrated feel.
Pulling from the visual repertoire of craft coffee, chocolate, whiskey, and body product, the Wingfield labeling is simple and effective. Clean labeling draws attention to important product call out text. These labels and stamp style texts are in-line with Wingfield typography. The simplicity compliments the illustrative logo.
An unexpected 2/3 asymmetrical label goes off to the right telling the Wingfield story as the viewer turns the label. Printed on Estate No. 9 paper.
The freshness tab extends the bee rays and calls attention to "Raw & Unfiltered" text in a rich charcoal color that visually separates it from the larger layer. The top of the freshness tab ends with a outlined bee to add a lovely brand detail without the use off another sticker. A pinking-sheer edge ties the tab to the larger label and reiterates the craft feel.
A custom "stamp" detail with "Handmade in Nor Cal", "All Natural" and the state shape adds visual interest to the packaging. The stamp also speaks to the handmade/local feel of the products.
